Cornerstone Calls for NH to Adopt Right to Work Legislation

January 30, 2013

CONCORD— On Wednesday, January 30, HB 323 will come before the House Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services Committee for a hearing.  This bill which was introduced by Rep. Bill O’Brien would prohibit collective bargaining agreements that require employees to join a labor union.

“Cornerstone supports this Right to Work legislation knowing that it would allow for choice and freedom for New Hampshire workers while also promoting economic prosperity for New Hampshire families,” said AshleyPratte, Executive Director of Cornerstone.

If Right to Work legislation were adopted in New Hampshire, the Granite State would become attractive to new employers and would bring jobs as a result.  There is no doubt that HB 323 would help to boost our state’s economy through new employment opportunities for New Hampshire citizens.
