Protect Women from Forced Abortions!

No woman should be forced into an abortion. HB 1721 would ban coerced abortions in New Hampshire. Women should not need to rely on abortion providers to detect coercion, when those providers stand to gain financially from her abortion.

The House Judiciary Committee believed the abortion providers who testified that they already screen their clients for signs of coercion. That’s not good enough. HB 1721 would give legal force to anti-coercion measures, and it has penalties for anyone who performs an abortion on a woman in the absence of fully voluntary consent.
