How to Find and Track Bills

Keeping track of legislation in New Hampshire can be a challenge, but staying informed is a key element of taking action during the legislative session. Each year, lawmakers introduce hundreds of bills, many of which relate to Cornerstone’s key issues, the ones you care about for advancing life, faith and religious freedom in NH.

While we do not take action on every bill, we monitor the legislative process closely and want to share ways you can stay up to date as well.

The steps below outline the basics of finding and tracking legislation as it moves through committees, hearings, and votes. By understanding how to track bills, you’ll be better equipped to follow the issues that matter most to you.

  • To search for bills currently in the legislative process, start by visiting the New Hampshire General Court website.
  • From the homepage, click on the “Quick Search” section under “Current Bills”.
  • You can search by bill number if you already know it, or use keywords related to the topic you’re interested in, such as “abortion”, “gender”, or “religion”.
  • Once you find a bill, you can use the bill docket to view its full text, track its progress through the legislative process, and see any scheduled hearings or votes.
