CONCORD, NH – Today, Kevin Smith, Executive Director of Cornerstone Policy Research, had the following statement regarding Governor Lynch’s nomination of J. Bonnie Newman to fill the US Senate seat previously held by Judd Gregg:
“We congratulate and wish Ms. Newman much success as she endeavors into her new position as one of New Hampshire’s United States Senators. Given her numerous past accomplishments, she is clearly fit to handle the responsibilities of her new role. We are hopeful that Ms. Newman will continue to carry on thelegacy of Senator Gregg, not only in exercising fiscal restraint with taxpayer funds, but in being socially conscious as well: by continuing to vote to protect innocent human life, and joining President Obama in opposing any attempt to redefine the traditional definition of marriage.”
