MANCHESTER, NH – Today, in an email communication sent out from the Binnie campaign, Mr Binnie claims, “An outside group was brought in by my opponents to engage in negative advertising…,” further insinuating again that not only is Cornerstone Action an “outside group” but that it coordinated with Binnie’s opponents for the US Senate seat.
Commenting on the Binnie campaign’s lies and distortions was Cornerstone’s Executive Director, Kevin Smith:
“It is quite sad that Bill continues to use these outrageous lies as the impetus for him to engage in negative advertising himself. Mr. Binnie has every right to do negative advertising, but he ought to at least be honest with the people as to why he is doing so.”
Cornerstone Policy Research was established in 2000 as a New Hampshire based organization, while its legislative arm was established in 2005. Cornerstone has repeatedly denounced accusations by the Binnie campaign that it colluded with its opponents as part of Cornerstone’s “Shockingly Liberal” ads.
