NH GOP Destroys 15-Week Abortion Bill
On Monday, as you may know, a moderate 15-week restriction on abortion was most likely destroyed before the House Judiciary Committee in Concord.
Prime Sponsor Rep. Katy Peternel, requested to withdraw HB 476, a motion that will now go to the full House.
Based on statistics collected from the 47 other states who do report abortion numbers, and adjusting for our population, a 15-week restriction would save approximately 300-400 babies after 15 weeks in New Hampshire each year.
Pro-lifers have one final chance to do pro-life advocacy.Although it is a long shot, Rep. Peternel’s “motion to withdraw” her bill could technically be defeated on the House floor.
Remind your representatives that they answer to you, not Republican leadership. If the House is so determined that these fully formed babies must die, ask your reps to stand by their decision and do so in an open roll call vote in the light of day. If this moderate restriction cannot get a floor vote, no abortion restriction will ever get a floor vote.
❌ Ask your representatives to vote ITL on the motion to withdraw HB 476 on the House floor.

Supporters Speak Out in Opposition to Assisted Suicide Bill
🚨 Act now: contact the House Judiciary Committee to oppose HB 254.
This week, the House Judiciary Committee held a public hearing on HB 254, relative to options for end of life care, a dangerous bill that would legalize physician-assisted suicide for those facing an illness which a physician has determined would likely be terminal within 6 months.
During the public hearing, we heard powerful personal testimonies in opposition to HB 254 from members of the disability, suicide prevention, and brain injury communities, faith leaders, and more.
We also heard alarming testimony in support of the bill. It is of vital importance that the Judiciary Committee hear from us on the dangers of state-sanctioned suicide.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
In the coming weeks, the House Judiciary Committee will hold an executive session on the bill before it goes to the House floor.
During an executive session, the committee will vote to recommend the bill as OTP (ought to pass) or ITL (inexpedient to legislate). There is no opportunity for public testimony during this session.
❌ We urge you to contact the House Judiciary Committee to register your opposition to the bill and urge them to vote ITL on HB 254.
