Cornerstone Launches Final Campaign Ad: “Descent into Sleaze”

Today, Cornerstone Action launched its final ad of the election season, “Descent Into Sleaze.” The ad, which once again features the Gilmore family from the ad “90 days”, also features new footage of Carroll County Sheriff Christopher Conley and various newspaper headlines which detail the false campaign ads being run by Governor John Lynch. The ad will run statewide on both WMUR and cable thru election day.

Commenting on the new ad was Cornerstone Executive Director, Kevin Smith:

“The fact of the matter is that, like he has on so many other issues, John Lynch again mislead the public and this time it was on the most important of issues – public safety. Yet even today, the Governor still refuses to admit that violent and sexual predators are being released out of prison early without the proper programs in place to monitor them. It really is a disgrace.”

In a Union Leader report on 10/20/10, it was revealed that the Lynch campaign issued a press release back in August which stated, “It (the law) does not apply to people convicted of violent offenses, including sex offenders . . .” The press release has since been removed from the Lynch campaign website.
