54% either support civil unions or no legal recognition for same-sex couples instead of ‘gay marriage’

Manchester, NH – In survey results released last week by the left-leaning Public Policy Polling, it was revealed that a majority of Granite Staters still do not support same-sex marriage nearly two years after it was signed into law.  According to the survey, while 44% of those polled support the current law, 54% would either like to see the law rolled back to granting civil unions only or no legal recognition at all for same-sex couples.

Commenting on the survey results was Cornerstone’s Director, Kevin Smith:

“Nearly two years after gay marriage was signed into law by Governor Lynch, most Granite Staters still do not favor it and would like to see the law return to what it was prior to gay marriage being enacted.  We look forward to working with both House and Senate leaders later this year to see the will of the people is carried out on this issue, by rolling back the current law.”
