Concord, NH – Today, the House committee on State and Federal Relations held a public hearing on HB89, which would require the state’s Attorney General to sign onto the pending federal lawsuit again the congressionally passed Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Testifying in support of the bill was Cornerstone Action Executive Director, Kevin Smith:

“Earlier this year, Cornerstone collected and delivered over 250 petitions from New Hampshire citizens to the Attorney General, urging him to sign onto the health care lawsuit which challenges the constitutionality of certain provisions of the law including the new mandate.  To the extent that this bill would allow New Hampshire to become part of that lawsuit, we fully support it.”
