CONCORD, NH – Today, Kevin Smith, Executive Director of Cornerstone Policy Research, had the following statement regarding Senator Judd Gregg’s nomination as Commerce Secretary by President Obama:
“We are very pleased to see that President Obama has selected Senator Gregg to be the next Commerce Secretary. Senator Gregg has been an ardent defender of the family during his tenure both as Governor and US Senator, and we are confident that he will carry these values, namely protecting personal economic freedom through limited government and free markets, into his new position. We wish him very well in this new role.”
“Likewise, we are hopeful that Governor Lynch will appoint a successor who is just as committed to defending the traditional family values for which Senator Gregg fought for over his distinguished career.”
