Governor Lynch continues display of leftist ideology with veto of voter photo-id

Governor has Demonstrated No Problems with Pandering to his Base…Today, Governor Lynch continued his display of partisan ideology by vetoing another common-sense piece of legislation, SB129, requiring a valid photo-ID upon voting on election day.  Despite this piece of legislation having wide public support, the Governor concocted a slew of red-herring excuses to justify his veto.

Commenting on this latest veto was Cornerstone Director, Kevin Smith:

“Once again, the Governor has shown his true colors as a partisan Democrat, by vetoing this common-sense piece of legislation.  With his veto of this bill along with many others this session, the Governor has demonstrated that he no problem pandering to his base in order to satisfy the extremists on his side of the aisle.  Hopefully, the Republican controlled legislature will do the right thing here and once again override this poor decision by the Governor.”
